1 cup creamy peanut butter

¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar

Two tablespoons of firmly packed brown sugar

One large egg at room temperature

One teaspoon of baking soda

1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ cup mini candy-coated chocolate pieces (such as mini M&M’s)



The oven should be preheated to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Using parchment paper, line two baking pans.

Egg, baking soda, vanilla, salt, nutmeg, and 3/4 cup plus two tablespoons of brown sugar are all mixed. Add the tiny chocolate M&Ms.

Scoop out dough balls that are 1 1/2 tablespoons in size and space them 1 inch apart on the baking sheets. Roll out dough balls to a thickness of about 1/2 inch.

About 10 minutes into baking, the tops of the cookies should start to break slightly. Before moving the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling, let them 10 minutes to cool on the baking sheets.
